Omri Avidar is a licensed tour guide and adventure tours instructor, resident of Kfar Vradim who has loved traveling the trails of Israel since he was a child. Omri is fourth generation in Israel, part of one of Petach Tikva’s founding families – working pioneers, and son to parents who were part of the Palmach, his love of Israel and the land is something he inherited form them.
In 2013, after years in a senior high-tech position, Omri decided to turn his passion into reality, and ever since, he delightfully shares the beauty of the Galilee, its sites and its people with those who tour with him.
Omri is a graduate of University of Haifa’s licensed tour guide course and adventure facilitator course. He is a man of the outdoors and he incorporates that and nature in his tours, usually with his 4×4. Omri also guides tours all over Israel and runs fun recreation days and a competitive The Amazing Race style game in Akko for families and
organizations, called Action Race.
“Many times, when I go to special places or meet inspiring people here in the Galilee, I think to myself that people travel all the way to Asia, Europe and South America to get to remote villages and experience local festivals when actually, here in the Galilee, there’s an incredibly rich variety of cultures and customs, history and religions and also nature and landscapes. You just have to know about, get to, be and experience.”
Omri guides in Hebrew and English.
