Western Galilee Now is dedicated to promoting the Western Galilee’s multicultural, historical and geographical richness and to highlight the region’s boutique wines and beers, local delicacies, organic produce and traditional handicrafts, along with its natural beauty and the magnificent sights connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains.

Western Galilee Now initiates high-level gatherings, workshops, culinary experiences, wine tours, weekend and weekly tours and activities that are all tailor-made to suit the desires and interests of individuals, couples, families, groups from within Israel and from abroad.

Western Galilee Now is a consortium of 60 small businesses mostly family owned or kibbutzim oriented towards tourism or employment tourism centers for people with disabilities, that meet pre-established standards of service and product quality.

Western Galilee Now cooperates with local tourism organizations and town councils, tourism authorities and hotel, B&B and Zimmer owners.

Western Galilee Now produces several yearly festivals, including a Wine Festival, “Taste of the Galilee” – a farmer’s market and local product fair, supported by the Dallas-Western Galilee Partnership and the Jewish Agency, a Spring Festival, JulyArt – a month dedicated entirely to local culture and art, and a Winter Festival.

Western Galilee Now runs extensive activities suitable for couples, families and larger groups. Among them are food and art workshops with local chefs or artists, concerts combined with tours, culinary experiences, musical performances, evenings of storytelling and folk songs, nature and art trips, and guided tours with qualified guides to visit the sights between the Meron mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

In the heart of the old city of Akko, JNF-USA and Western Galilee Now inaugurated in March 2016, an information center to serve as a gateway to the Western Galilee. Western Galilee Now was chosen to run it and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the center, recommending tour routes,

giving out information about events in the region and showcasing the variety of activities offered in the Western Galilee.

Developing Tourism in the Western Galilee is part of the “Go North” initiative of JNF-USA over the past years – strengthening the economy and population in the Galilee.

The Center assists tourists with detailed information, including tailor-made proposals for tours, recommendations for cultural and art experiences, suggestions for outdoor activities and bespoke culinary trips. It assists in finding restaurants, hotels, B&Bs and Zimmers.

The Center also runs the “Space Gallery“, displaying local artists and special exhibitions.
