Lotem Winery is one of very few Israeli organic wineries and it brings together the qualities of man and land. This unique combination between spiritual content, energies and advanced science, creates original quality wine.
The winery was founded in 2009 by Winemakers Yonatan Koren and Yaniv Kimchi.
It sits in a nice observation point at kibbutz Lotem, above Sakhnin valley, overlooking the Sea of Galilee and entire lower Galilee.
Yonatan Koren – member of kibbutz Magen and Ohalo college wine science graduate. After finishing his standing army career, he decided to follow his heart and study winemaking, focusing on organic wine. Yonatan is also a gifted cook and is in charge of the winery’s culinary side.
Yaniv Kimchi – High-tech professional, born in Haifa. Has traveled the world for years and tasted wine. Throughout his life, Yaniv explored the effects that matter and spirit combined have. This passion led to the idea behind their wine, where music directly influences the quality and taste of the wine. The winery keeps to uncompromising quality of winemaking from fine organic grapes that come from kibbutz Tzivon’s vineyard near mount Meron, combined with unique energizing processes, such as playing music to the wine throughout its making and aging process. The process is based on the winemakers’ 15 years of experience in combining energetic qualities and winemaking. Today, 30,000 bottles are made at the winery. The grape varieties used are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz and Nebbiolo.
Come visit Lotem Winery for good wine, great scenery and unique atmosphere. Celebrating events on-site is also an option. On weekends, visitors can enjoy meat or vegetarian food made by Yonatan, and sometimes a live show.
