Traditional Ethiopian meal with all its spices and scents, from here and there. The meal is served on a bed of Injera – Ethiopian flat bread, with sidings (meat or vegetarian).
What’s on the menu? Dabu – homemade Ethiopian bread, teff-flour bread, Ethiopian tahini, spicy dip, salads, steamed seasoned vegetables, casseroles and more, and to finish the meal, Ethiopian coffee ceremony and herbal tea.
During the meal, you will hear the story of the journey from Ethiopia and its culture to the Galilean kibbutz.
At the end of the meal, you’ll practice shoulder dance moves to Ethiopian music.
Yonie Skiba left Ethiopia when she was 8 years old, and came to Israel. Mavrhatey – means “her light”, and passing on this light is Mavrhatey’s main goal.
