It is recommended to start your visit to Akko at the JNF-USA Information Center located on Salah a-Din Street, at the entrance to the popular market. The Information Center is located in a beautifully renovated ancient stone building. The place was established by Jewish National Fund-USA and is managed by Western Galilee Now, a consortium of small businesses. In addition to explanations, map recommendations, and information about Akko and the Western Galilee, you can enjoy the changing art exhibitions that take place there and be impressed by the variety of Galilean products of the “Taste the Galilee” store, products made with love straight from the Galilee.

The Akko market (covered) in the Old City was built on the remains of a street that led from the Hospitaller Gate in the north of the city to the Crusader port area at Venice Square. The market begins in a flowery square and leads to Venice Square and the fishing port.
