Sama Rooftop Bar & Restaurant in Old Akko
The Sama Restaurant in Old Akko is a real meeting point between the local spice shop, the daily catch of the Akko fishermen, fresh ingredients, and the local Mediterranean cuisine with a sophisticated twist.
The restaurant is located on the roof of the most central building in the old city, and some say, that it is the most valuable rooftop in the city. During the week the culinary bar is open in the evenings, but on Friday and Saturday, Same is open from the morning and also offers a great brunch with fans from all over the country.
The leading chef of Sama, Chef Hamudi Okla, does not rest for a moment and together with his team updates the menu every season, according to what the sea and market have to offer. The dishes are also adapted to be shared among the diners so that you can enjoy as many flavors as possible.
The word “sama” means sky in Arabic, and the restaurant is named so because of its winning location — between the alleys of the colorful market, the walls of the historic city, mosques, churches, cultures, and languages, between the earth and the sky.

The Creative Bar — Galilean Thursday in Akko
The Akko Creative Hostel, from the Eyal Association, is a house for culture and tourism in the Old City of Akko and its goal is to create a new atmosphere in the old city. The hostel has rooms for all types of travelers, kitchens, a bar lounge, and a huge balcony facing the sea.
We decided to dedicate Thursday evenings at the bar to alcohol that is produced solely in the Galilee! The bar serves northern beers produced in Haifa and a selection of local wines from Yi’ron and Harashim, as well as gin from Jullius Distillery, and more!
The evening is open to the general public — guests of the hostels and hotels in Akko, residents of the city, and occasional guests who we hope will be exposed to the local producers and support the Galilean industry!
Our prices are accessible and of course, all profits go back to the Akko Creative project!
Every Thursday from 6 pm

The Jam Club – Live Music in Akko
At the entrance to the old city of Akko, between the walls and the sea, is the Jam Club.
The Jam is a unique performance club and cultural center, established and operated by the members of the Educators’ Kibbutz of Dror Israel in Akko, together with other young people from Akko and the surrounding area, in cooperation with the Municipality of Akko.
The Jam is first of all a home.
We provide a platform for original productions by the members of the community, creators at the beginning and artists of all kinds, a performance club in the north where the atmosphere is open and inviting, breaks down barriers between artist and audience, and enables anyone who wants to be a part of the cultural activity.
The artistic program is diverse and includes performances, jam session evenings, parties, plays, lectures, film screenings, and more.
We believe that culture should be something accessible daily and open to everyone, that you can go out and have fun without breaking the bank, and we maintain friendly prices as a central principle. The Jam is operated voluntarily and without profit, out of a true love for creation and a desire to promote a diverse culture of Akko and the Galilee.
The place is open mainly on Saturday evenings, it is recommended to check in advance about the monthly program.
