In 2006, JNF-USA launched Go North – a strategic initiative aimed at bolstering and developing the Galilee. The creation of the Information Center in Akko is an intrinsic part of the broader vision of JNF-USA, which anticipates the absorption of 300,000 new residents in the north of Israel over the next decade, and its becoming a significant player in the country’s economy.
Join us at Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk for a unique exhibition, “Inspiration in the Mirror”, a women’s community exhibition at the Monio Gallery. Sixty women between the ages of 18-90 participated in the exhibition, each choosing a female character as inspiration and participating in a special photography exhibition.
After the exhibition we will continue on the “Songs of Poets” tour – Fania Bergstein, Leah Goldberg and the stories of the red shoes in the shoe shop of the 1940s.
During the tour we will hear the story of an entrepreneur who dreamt far and chose to fulfill a vision in those veteran kibbutz paths.
The exhibition is open on a daily basis to reservations.

Come and look at the Christian Village of Fassuta, in the village you will visit the blacksmith Walied Khoury and hear his personal story.
During the visit we will see a demonstration of Walied turning raw material into an iron statue, and we will look at the story of the sculptures in Walied’s gallery, some of which are also exhibited abroad.
Finally we will enjoy a traditional meat meal in front of the fantastic Galilean landscape of Fassuta.

Come with your children to a children’s play for ages 4-9 at the Zikit Theater in Tefen.
The play combines two actors, puppets and silhouettes and is accompanied by original music. The theater’s presentation is visually wordless as part of the theaters worldview of multicultural face beyond language.

The exhibition, which will open on July 27th and is the third exhibition to be presented at the JNF-USA Information Center in Old Akko.
The theme of the exhibition “Grandmother’s Wall” – is a tribute to weaving, embroidery, knitting and sewing, and we continue to present, expose and promote local artists and creators. The third exhibition of the Information Center will deal with the context of eclecticism of cultures, composed of different fragments that together create a whole thing.

Western Galilee Now is a registered non-profit grassroots organization (NGO) promoting awareness and appreciation for the region’s boutique wines, beers, food and produce, along with its cultural diversity, its historic traditions and the area’s scenic routes nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea acting as a Chamber of Commerce to boutique tourism operators in the region.
We expose the visitors to the unique heritage and hospitality through workshops, culinary events, art, music, guides tours, festivals and also through our Tourist Information Center in Akko, owned by JNF USA which we were chosen to operate since Jan. 2016.
Our vision is to develop local and foreign tourism based on close cooperation between all the interested parties in the region.
